    Welcome

    The purpose of this document is to set expectations to estate sale goers of how Timeless Staging/Northern Estate Sales operates an estate sale and/or liquidation of contents. If you have questions, you can email EstateSale@TimelessStaging.ca or contact us by phone (705) 493-9060 to discuss.

    Sale Announcements

    The estate sale address will be announced the day before the sale. Please check our website www.TimelessStaging.ca, Facebook page @TimelessStagingEstateSales or subscribe to our mailing list at https://timelessstaging.ca/estate-sales/ for pictures and details of upcoming sales. We use our distribution list solely for sale announcements, promotions, or in the event of a reschedule.

    Parking

    Our administrative crowd control tactic when at full capacity include a sequential numbering system to limit the number of customers simultaneously on-site. This ensures fair, undisputable and timely access based on time of arrival at the site. For access, you will need to provide the dispensed call number to security and/or staff stationed at the main entrance.

    • Park carefully and legally at all times
      • The business nor the client will assume any legal liability for parking accidents and/or fines associated with illegal parking.
    • Roadside parking only; driveways are reserved for people who need to pick up large items.
    • Do not block driveways or side walks. If there is limited parking, please be respectful of businesses, neighbors and other patrons.
    • Do not park on the grass unless it is indicated that it’s ok to do so.

    Entry to Premises

    • Entry will be opened at the advertised time of the sale and no earlier.
    • First-come, first served (early birds will not gain access before others).
    • Enter at your own risk, we are not liable for any falls, injuries, and/or accidents incurred on premises (inside or outside).
    • To ensure the safety of customers attending and care to the site, the number of persons permitted to enter is at the discretion of staff who have knowledge of the premise’s capacity.
    • Staff reserve the right to refuse entrance for any reason and to any persons.

    Safety Crowd Control Measures

    Purchases and Payment

    • Cash, debit or credit card, will be accepted for payment.
      • All purchases are subject to applicable taxes.
      • An additional 3% fee plus will be applied to credit card purchases to cover processing charges.
      • Cheques are discretional with proper identification.
      • IOU’s will not be excepted nor will item(s) be held for you in good faith.
    • Prices will NOT be given via phone or email.
    • There are no pre-sale purchasing; however, to the discretion of the incorporation if it will benefit the estate.
    • All sales are FINAL (no exchanges or refunds).
    • All inventory identified for sale is offered “as-is with no warranties.
    • Handle items with care, you break it, you will be responsible to buy it at the posted price.
    • Hoarding is not permitted; you must buy what you pile.
    • If price tag was removed/switched, the price will be reassigned at the cash.
    • All items must be removed at the end of the sale.
    • Any items paid for but not picked up at the end of the sale or agreed to date/time, will be left to the estate, priced to sell or donated.
    • Shoplifters will be prosecuted.

    Price Negotiation and Haggling

    Everyone likes a deal and is why we price items reasonably while keeping the best interest of the client. At the onset of a sale, prices are firm; however, at the discretion of management ONLY. Determining discount factors may include but not limited to:

    • price of item;
    • amount of total purchase(s);
    • time of sale; and
    • client discretion.

    Note: Unless directed otherwise by the client, most often prices will be reduced at varying percentages closer to the end of the sale.

    Large Item Pickup/Delivery

    • Moving large items without first speaking with staff is prohibited.
    • If moving large item(s) during a sale is considered a risk or likely to impede the sale, you may be asked to pick item(s) up later in the day.
    • You are responsible to carry, pack, load and transfer your own purchases.
    • Upon request, delivery services can be quoted and arranged for an additional fee.
    • Complimentary boxes and paper wrap are available until supplies run out (please come prepared).

    Rescheduling of a Sale

    • If there are unforeseen circumstances (e.g., unexpected construction, inclement weather, etc.) that results in the reschedule of a sale, an update will be posted to our social media sites, and other accessible advertising methods at that time including email distribution list.

    While at the Premises

    • Please be respectful of the owner’s property and premises
    • Zero-tolerance for disrespectful shoppers (to fellow shoppers and employees).
    • Disposal shoe coverings are mandatory (if requested) prior to entry.
    • Children must always be accompanied by an adult.
    • No drink or food.
    • No pets are permitted to location except for service animals required due to a disability. *You may be asked what type of work the service animal is trained for to ensure that both yourself and caregiver are accommodated properly.
    • No strollers.
    • No pack sacks, totes, oversized purses, etc. *Approval required by Mgmt.
    • Cashiers are not responsible to watch over customer personal effects of any kind.

    Bidding Box

    • Take note of our bidding box, which will be stationed in clear sight for all patrons. If you see an item that you want, but do not want to pay what is marked and a reasonable negotiation cannot be reached, you may leave your name and phone number along with the item you desire and the price you are willing to pay in the box. Should the item be unsold at the end of the sale, we will call you and discuss your offer.
      • There is no guarantee that the price will be accepted nor the item available at the end of the sale unless it was part of an advertised silent auction (item goes to the highest bidder or secondary bidder if the initial person cannot be reached within a reasonable timeframe).
